Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Limited is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, deployment, and optimization of our global data-center networks in Johor Bahru. The role focuses on high-availability and security across LAN/WAN, including SD-WAN and data-center fabrics.

You will troubleshoot complex outages, craft automation scripts, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery and IT governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience in enterprise or data-center environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex network issues and delivering end-to-end solutions.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Strong knowledge of IP routing and switching protocols and security practices.
• Familiarity with automation/orchestration tools and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify gaps in current network architecture and operations; propose improvements and drive implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including RCA and incident management.
• Manage network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless; configuration and security hardening.
• Design, implement, and maintain data center and workplace network environments.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and SPOFs; continuously optimize quality and reliability.
• Establish and maintain network operation standards, documentation, and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery and IT governance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and backup strategies.
• Monitor network monitoring, alerting, and reporting using Zabbix, Grafana, ELK.
• Support capacity planning, scalability, and Day 0/1/2 operations.
• Ensure network security compliance and safe transmission of internal data.
