Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a test engineer to develop and maintain advanced test platforms for NAND devices, applying deterministic and random use-case sequences to improve coverage and reduce cost.

You will work with cross-functional teams across design, product and quality to drive robust validation. The role requires a strong foundation in electrical or computer engineering, with hands-on experience in Python and C/C++, semiconductor physics, and data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Course work or work experience in Python/C/C++, semiconductor physics, data analytics and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enable alternate test platforms to improve test coverage, apply sophisticated customer use cases test sequences and improve test cost.
• Develop and maintain characterization and qualification test program based on datasheet and customer specification.
• Design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating NAND features and commands.
• Perform functional and design validation of new NAND on high-speed tester hardware.
• Explore continual improvement in characterization and validation methodology aligned with customer requirements and higher data rate.
• Monitor NAND performance during AQL testing during product development and qualification.
• Perform Electrical Failure Analysis during evaluations, investigate root causes and collaborate with NAND teams to drive closure.
• Leverage AI and automate program development and work processes whenever possible.
