Job summary

JAC Recruitment International is seeking a Senior Motion Control Engineer in Penang to lead the development of advanced motion control systems for automated instruments and robotic platforms.

You will design, optimize, and validate motion control architectures, drive systems, and robotics solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Robotics, Control, Electrical, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, CS or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in motion control, robotics, automation, or complex instrument development.
• Proven experience designing and implementing motion control systems and drive chain solutions.
• Strong knowledge of control theory, feedback systems, robotics, and automation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, evaluation, testing, and implementation of motion control and drive chain solutions.
• Perform motor sizing, simulations, performance analysis, and system optimization.
• Develop and improve robotics, automation, and control system architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on motion control, robotics, and automation projects.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering teams for integration.
• Drive root cause analysis, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Research emerging technologies and contribute to future product development.
• Mentor engineers and support engineering best practices, standards, and technical excellence.
