Job summary

Ideal Vision Integration Sdn Bhd is seeking a Control Systems Engineer in Penang to design and implement motion control and user interfaces for automated vision inspection systems. You will develop reusable C# code for system integration and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams throughout project lifecycles.

The role requires a degree in engineering and 2–3 years of related experience. Desktop and onsite support, plus travel, may be involved as part of customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic / Computer Science / Information Technology) or an equivalent field.
• Proficient in C++ or C# programming is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, machine vision, image processing or motion control will be an added advantage.
• Preferably 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and debug motion control and user interface for automated vision inspection systems.
• Design reusable code in C# for motion control and system integration.
• Study and provide solutions for customers in terms of design feasibility and meet customer expectations on quality and timeliness.
• Work with mechanical design and vision software team from design until the project completion stage.
• Work with electrical team on electrical wiring and routing of motor driver, I/O module and equipment.
• Work with operation team to improve existing machine process.
• Perform onsite system setup, troubleshooting and provide technical assistance to customers when necessary.
• Optimize production processes to improve efficiency and minimize machine downtime.
• Provide documentation to record and track machine module checklist.
• Provide documentation to explain and increase understanding of new feature or function to internal and external customer.
