Job summary

RPG Commerce is seeking a Merchandise Planning Manager to lead Montigo's merchandise planning function across retail, ecommerce, and B2B channels. You will own end-to-end assortment, inventory, and OTB planning, while guiding Planners, Financial Planners, and Allocators.

You will set cadence, align with finance and operations, and drive sell-through and inventory health. You will bridge merchandising, finance, and operations to ensure aligned financial plans and in-season execution across all

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in merchandise planning, assortment planning, or merchandise financial planning.
• Minimum 3 years in a people management or mentorship role.
• Strong command of retail math: sales, margin, turn, OTB, GMROI, markdown %.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets; experience with planning software or merch mgmt systems preferred.
• Omnichannel experience (ecommerce + retail) required.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop the Merchandise Planners, Merchandise Financial Planners, and Allocators.
• Own the team's operating rhythm: weekly syncs, 1-on-1s, OKR setting and review.
• Set goals aligned to sales, margin, and inventory targets; conduct performance reviews.
• Build bench strength and succession coverage across the planning function.
• Own seasonal assortment planning across channels; arbitrate ecommerce vs retail tradeoffs.
