Job summary

Black & White Engineering, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead MEP design on high-value, mission-critical projects across the APAC region, including data centres. You will drive technical excellence, coordinate with electrical, structural and architectural teams, and mentor junior engineers to support growth and delivery.

The role emphasizes design, project delivery, client engagement and compliance with Malaysian standards, contributing to business growth

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/BSc or equivalent).
• Registered Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), working towards or holding Professional Engineer status (Ir.), or Chartered Engineer (CEng) / equivalent, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of relevant design standards and Malaysian regulations (UBBL, BOMBA, MS 1525).
• Proficiency in design tools such as Revit, IES or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mechanical (MEP) design solutions across all project stages.
• Support end-to-end project delivery, ensuring outputs meet client requirements, timelines and budget constraints.
• Undertake detailed design calculations, system sizing and technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes.
• Coordinate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.
