Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in mechanical or electrical engineering consulting or design.
• PE status or equivalent qualification (or working towards it).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, CATIA, SolidWorks or similar CAD/CAM tools.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles across mechanical and electrical systems and project management.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee mechanical and electrical engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Perform detailed mechanical and electrical design, analysis, and calculations using industry-standard software and methodologies.
• Develop comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation for client deliverables.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and value engineering assessments for proposed engineering solutions.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, authorities and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical advice, and resolve project challenges.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and engineering staff, providing guidance on technical matters and professional development.
• Review and quality-assure work produced by team members to maintain professional standards and compliance with regulations.
• Contribute to proposal development and tender submissions, demonstrating technical expertise and project delivery capability.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements on all projects.
