Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to lead detailed mechanical design for data center projects and to deliver quality technical outputs across the MEP team. The role involves preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications, and working closely with clients and engineering colleagues with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree
• At least 6 years of detailed mechanical design experience with an engineering consultancy
• Data Center design experience
• Membership of relevant professional institutions or eligibility for membership
• Good knowledge of local and international regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines

Responsibilities

• Hands on concept and detailed mechanical design for data center projects
• Provide design calculations, drawings and specifications
• Project and team administration and producing project reports
• Work directly with clients and professionals with minimal supervision
• Manage small project teams and implement project monitoring and control mechanisms
