Job summary

Micro Modular System Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Penang to lead mechanical design for automation systems. You will conceptualize machine modules, define technical requirements, and drive design reviews and DFMEA while coordinating with engineers and service teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on debugging of mechanical systems, automation design, and tooling/die set knowledge. Join MMS to contribute to LED and semiconductor equipment projects in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Familiar with SolidWorks, MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook), Industrial Robot & SCARA.
• 2-5 years of experience in the related field.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical systems debugging and troubleshooting.
• Experience in automation design; tooling/die set knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Machine and module conceptual design, proposal and defining the technical requirements.
• Costing and project planning to meet project budget and schedule.
• Design standardization, selection and sizing of standard components.
• Perform machine buy-off and installation.
• Prepare checklist for design, assembly and pre-delivery inspection activities.
• Prepare project reports, machine operation manual and other related documents upon completion of project.
• Perform drawing checking, design review, DFMEA etc
• Provide technical advice and guidance to project engineers, assembler and service team.
