Job summary

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in mechanical disciplines and at least 5 years in related industries, with proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD and multilingual communication. Knowledge of robotics and vision systems is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in machinery, automation, semiconductor, or related manufacturing industries
• Experience with robotic arms, vision inspection systems, sensors, actuators, and motion control systems is a plus
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese for international collaboration
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, SEMI standards and other industry standards

Responsibilities

• Design automated machine modules and mechanical components per customer requirements and standards
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and BOMs for mechanical fabrication parts and standard electro-pneumatic components
• Develop and maintain production procedures, operating instructions, and process control documentation
• Maintain proper filing, documentation, and traceability of engineering records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and implement corrective actions
• Identify potential design/manufacturing issues and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence
• Work with electrical, controls, software and production teams to integrate mechanical systems with automation technologies
• Perform other design and engineering-related responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Job description

Design automated machine modules and mechanical components based on customer requirements and relevant automation industry standards.

Prepare detailed engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for mechanical fabrication parts and standard electro-pneumatic components.

Develop and maintain production procedures, operating instructions, and process control documentation.

Maintain proper filing, documentation, and traceability of engineering records.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and relevant departments to resolve design-related issues and implement effective corrective actions.

Identify potential design and manufacturing issues and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.

Work closely with electrical, controls, software, and production teams to ensure smooth integration of mechanical systems with automation technologies.

Perform other design and engineering-related responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, SEMI standards, and other relevant industrial and manufacturing standards.

Experience or working knowledge in robotic systems, machine vision/vision inspection systems, and motion sensors or motion control systems will be highly advantageous.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.

Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in machinery, automation, semiconductor, or related manufacturing industries preferred.

Experience in designing or supporting automated machinery involving robotic arms, vision inspection systems, sensors, actuators, and motion control systems will be an added advantage.

Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese for effective communication with international teams, customers, and business partners.
