Job summary

Kawan Food Berhad invites a Senior R&D Executive to drive value-added meat/seafood product development. You will lead lab work, prototype development, and cross-functional collaboration to meet customers' specifications and timelines.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in food science/technology with 3–5 years in NPD, strong data analysis, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel. Based in Pulau Indah, join a team focused on innovation and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science/Technology or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in new product development.
• Experience in meat/seafood processing and value-added products.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated, flexible, able to work independently, with positive attitude.
• Willing to be based in Pulau Indah.

Responsibilities

• Assist in R&D projects including research, product innovation, and development to meet specs and timelines.
• Conduct lab work and analytical testing; interpret data and troubleshoot line/process issues.
• Develop prototypes and trial samples; monitor production runs and provide recommendations.
• Provide data-driven recommendations and solutions for assigned projects.
• Source and develop alternative raw materials for cost-saving and contingency.
• Prepare SOPs and train production/QC teams during trials.
• Support production and other teams in product/process improvements.
• Maintain and update documentation for regulatory/certification requirements.
