Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a senior Material Planner to oversee a planning team and ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. You will develop material plans from demand forecasts and schedules, manage safety stocks, and coordinate with procurement to mitigate shortages.

You will lead a team across manufacturing, warehouse and logistics to optimize material flow and drive continuous process improvements. A bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven to ten years of material planning, production control, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership responsibilities.
• Practical understanding of material requirements planning, inventory optimization, and sales demand forecasting.
• Functional knowledge of Tier-1 ERP systems and business intelligence reporting software.
• Strong team leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Able to communicate with China stakeholder will be advantage !

Responsibilities

• Formulate comprehensive material plans based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets.
• Regulate inventory parameters including safety stock levels, order quantities, and delivery lead times to minimize holding costs.
• Collaborate with procurement and supplier networks to address component shortages, supply risks, and capacity constraints.
• Partner with manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics functions to ensure seamless material flow across operational lines.
• Guide, coach, and develop the material planning team while driving continuous process improvement initiatives.
