Job summary

Sandisk Malaysia (Batu Kawan) invites applications for a Production Operations role. You will monitor daily production activities, support the line, and help ensure smooth operations across shifts in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

The role requires experience with manufacturing systems and Lean/5S/Kaizen, along with the ability to coach junior operators and uphold quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or production experience.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or storage manufacturing environment.
• Experience in training or mentoring operators.
• Knowledge of Camstar, MES, SAP, or related manufacturing systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Willing to work on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities and provide support to ensure smooth operation of the production line.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate equipment, process, or quality issues to the supervisor when necessary.
• Support setup, changeover, and verification activities to maintain production efficiency.
• Ensure products meet or exceed SanDisk workmanship and quality standards through proper use of manufacturing systems, including Camstar.
• Verify product quality and ensure assemblies are handled, labeled, and processed according to specifications.
• Ensure repair and rework activities are performed according to approved procedures and SanDisk standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, daily logs, and documentation as required.
• Guide, coach, and support junior operators to ensure compliance with work instructions and quality standards.
• Assist supervisors in training, onboarding, and certifying new operators.
• Act as a role model in promoting teamwork, discipline, and operational excellence.
• Participate in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and productivity improvement initiatives.
