Job summary

XP Power in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Leader to drive product quality, process efficiency and Lean manufacturing across the site. You will lead NPI programs, design for manufacturability, develop cost-reduction strategies, and mentor a multidisciplinary team to meet KPIs and customer requirements.

This role requires 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, strong knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly, and proven ability to lead cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge (6 Sigma, 5S, TPM, SMED, Pull system).
• Strong knowledge in electronic manufacturing processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation.
• Coaching/Mentoring and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering activities to ensure product quality and process efficiency meet customer requirements and company goals.
• Review KPIs and provide management reports on a regular basis.
• Identify skill gaps and implement strategy to close gaps and ensure succession planning.
• Drive continuous improvement to key operational metrics.
• Lead manufacturing-engineering excellence across functions to meet capabilities.
• Plan, design, and develop methods using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Manage engineering changes for customer requests and improvements.
• Coordinate testing activities and troubleshoot yield problems to root causes.
• Lead NPIs or product modifications using APQP/PPAP tools from development to launch.
• Develop costed feedback using DFX to reduce manufacturing costs and improve quality.
• Provide technical leadership to site operations and roadmap alignment.
• Lead process development and equipment maintenance activities.
