Job summary

Comet Plasma Technologies in Penang is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Plasma Control Technologies division. The role focuses on leading NPI transfers from prototype to production and driving process improvements to boost quality and efficiency.

You should hold a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and have 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, preferably in semiconductor equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in NPI.
• Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing with HLA and electronics processes.
• Proven Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen/ SPC experience and ability to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Strong BOM/documentation management using SAP/SolidWorks/AutoCAD and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from prototype to full-scale production.
• Develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes, OMS, BOMs, and production docs.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, JIT, Kanban, and Six Sigma to reduce cycle time.
• Investigate manufacturing issues via RCCA and DFM and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for global product transfers, capacity planning, tooling, and automation improvements.
