Arrow Electronics, Inc. is seeking a senior logistics leader in Malaysia to manage order fulfillment operations at the Gelang Patah site.

The role leads professional teams, improves processes via CPI, Six Sigma and Lean, and drives cost efficiencies while safeguarding company assets. Ideal candidates bring extensive warehouse experience, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with customers and suppliers across functions.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of logistics experience with a 4-year degree, or 3 years with an advanced degree, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is advantageous for liaising with clients in Hong Kong and China.
Strong understanding of warehouse logistics operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and cross-function teams.

Responsibilities

Manage employees and processes for order fulfillment across the distribution center.
Develop and manage staff, including resource allocation and P&L.
Analyze and implement process improvements using CPI, Six Sigma and Lean.
Review financials for areas of improvement and ensure asset integrity.

Job description

Work Location: Arrow Electronics PTP, Gelang Patah, Johor

What You’ll Do

Manage employees and processes related to the order fulfillment process for a segment of, or the entire, distribution center. Work with supervisors, leads and employees to meet and exceed service level and quality, and productivity goals. Identify ways to reduce costs while improving efficiencies and quality, which may involve utilization of CPI processes.

Develop, manage staff, including resource allocation and P&L.

Analyzes and implements process improvements by using CPI, Six Sigma and Lean.

Review financials for areas of improvement.

Responsibility for maintaining integrity in the use of company assets such as inventory, supplies, equipment and receivables.

Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function

Adapts departmental plans and priorties to address resource and operational challenges

Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from leadership

Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers

Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple small teams

Exercises full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions

Addresses issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines

What We Are Looking For

Typically minimum 10 years of related experience in Logistics with a 4 year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work

Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is an advantage for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and business partners from Hong Kong and China.

Strong understanding of warehouse logistics operations.

Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiations skills.

Ability to build good relationship with customers, suppliers, and internally with cross function teams.
