Job summary

DayOne Data Centers is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead planning, design, and construction of mission-critical data center facilities. The role focuses on delivering projects on time, within scope and budget, while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

You will manage internal teams and external vendors, coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and IT systems, and ensure regulatory compliance from permitting to handover.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience, ideally in data center or critical infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects with M&E complexity.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data center construction projects from initiation through commissioning and handover.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Coordinate internal teams, vendors, contractors, and engineers.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regs, and safety standards.
• Monitor progress and manage risks, changes, and documentation.
• Oversee quality control, health and safety, and project closeout.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and construction of mission-critical data center facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management within high-availability environments. You will be responsible for delivering data center projects on time, within scope and budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data center construction projects from initiation through commissioning and handover.
• Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Manage internal teams, external vendors, contractors, engineers, and consultants.
• Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to design specifications, codes, and standards.
• Ensure all permitting, inspections, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Track and report on project milestones, deliverables, and risk factors.
• Oversee quality control, health and safety, and change management processes.
• Manage financial tracking, budget adherence, and cost optimization.
• Coordinate commissioning and integration of electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
• Ensure project documentation, closeout reports, and handover to operations are completed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience, ideally in data center or critical infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects with mechanical and electrical complexity.
• PMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
