Job summary

DayOne is seeking a Scheduling and Planning Manager to lead planning, control, and monitoring of ongoing and pipeline data center projects in Malaysia. You will develop Level 1 to 3 schedules, coordinate with procurement, design & engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery from initiation to service readiness.

The role requires strong expertise in Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud, plus 5+ years in planning and scheduling within the construction sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction related field.
• 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience, including management.
• Good understanding of construction industry practices and standards.
• Experience with Primavera P6 / Oracle Primavera Cloud and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop Level 1 to 3 project schedules for development stages.
• Align delivery strategy with procurement, design & engineering, construction, T&C and operations teams.
• Review and schedule quality checks of Level 4/5 schedules by Contractors.
• Ensure Contractors and PMCs follow DayOne schedule policy.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigations.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress dashboards and reports.

About The Role

We are looking for the Scheduling and Planning Manager, who will be part of a team that responsible for the planning, control and monitoring of the company’s ongoing projects as well as upcoming pipelines projects. You will play an integral role in the development and implementation of the new data center and be responsible for delivering successful projects from initial stage to ready for service stage.

• Develop Level 1 to 3 project schedules for all development stages.
• Delivery strategy alignment with procurement, design & engineering, construction, T&C and operation teams.
• Support and assist PMC in developing Level 3 Project Coordinated Schedule with key project milestones sufficient for other departments such as Design and Procurement Team to plan
• Review and schedule quality check (Health check) of Level 4 and/or Level 5 project detail timeline schedule by Contractors.
• Ensure that Contractors and PMCs adhere to DayOne schedule management policy.
• Project control and monitor to ensure projects’ progress is on target. Tracking and alignment on project delivery status including risk and mitigation.
• Advise the construction team and any key personnel of any major slippages in the works, particularly those affecting key/interim milestones.
• Review and tracking or any recovery plan or acceleration plan should projects fall behind in terms of progress.
• Consolidate project’s progress reporting and preparation of weekly/monthly reporting in form of dashboards or presentation slides.
• Manage and keep records and update project timeline schedule in OPC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction and/or equivalent
• 5 or more years of planning and scheduling experience, including management.
• Good understanding of construction industry practices and standards to perform planning and scheduling.
• Experience and Proficiency in Primavera P6 / Oracle Primavera Cloud and Microsoft Project.

Good to Have

• Data Center delivery experience will be added advantage.
