Job summary

DayOne, a global leader in data infrastructure, is seeking an experienced OPEX procurement lead in Malaysia to oversee FM, maintenance, facilities, and utilities procurement across multiple sites. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage key vendors, and negotiate contracts to realize cost savings.

You will lead a Malaysia-based procurement team, drive governance, and provide market insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of procurement experience with OPEX/FM/maintenance focus.
• Experience in tender management and contract negotiations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a multi-site team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in data center or facilities management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage OPEX procurement activities across Malaysia, covering FM, maintenance, facilities, utilities, and other operational services.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies, sourcing plans, tendering, and contract negotiations to achieve cost savings and value improvement.
• Manage key vendors and contracts, including performance, pricing, SLA/KPI, and commercial terms.
• Partner closely with Operations, ADM, Finance, Legal, and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant procurement execution.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, DOA, governance, and audit requirements.
• Drive cost optimization, supplier consolidation, process improvement, and procurement efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and develop the OPEX procurement team across Malaysia.
• Provide procurement insights, market intelligence, and management reporting to senior leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of procurement experience, with strong OPEX/FM/maintenance procurement exposure.
• Proven experience in tender management, contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work independently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• Experience in data center, facilities management, engineering, or similar industries is an advantage.
