Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Malaysia I Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Procurement to strengthen procurement governance and drive digitalization across the function.

You will collaborate with Internal Control, Audit, IT, Finance, Legal, and Treasury to support compliant, efficient procurement and payment processes. This role focuses on optimizing processes, mitigating risks, and enhancing supplier performance, while enabling transparent procurement systems and capability development for the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, or related field.
• Experience with procurement processes and policy development.
• Strong risk awareness and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Optimize departmental procurement processes and policies across the lifecycle.
• Identify and assess procurement-process risks and develop mitigation measures.
• Support supplier performance management to drive value delivery.
• Review and supervise key procurement activities to maintain governance and controls.
• Partner with Internal Control, Audit, IT, Finance, and Legal to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collect project forecasts and payment lists, prepare reports for Treasury, and support payment processing.
• Assist with developing and implementing procurement systems to improve efficiency and transparency.
• Support training and capability development for the procurement team.

Senior Specialist, Procurement

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Procurement to help strengthen procurement processes, governance, supplier performance, and digitalization. You will work across Procurement and with Internal Control, Audit, IT, Finance, Legal, and Treasury to support compliant, efficient procurement and payment processes.

What You'll Do

• Optimize departmental procurement processes and policies across the procurement lifecycle.
• Identify and assess procurement-process risks and develop appropriate mitigation measures.
• Support supplier performance management initiatives that drive continuous improvement and value delivery.
• Review and supervise key procurement activities to maintain appropriate governance and controls.
• Partner with Internal Control, Audit, IT, Finance, and Legal to support compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collect project forecasts and payment lists, prepare reports for Treasury, and support payment processing.
• Assist with the development and implementation of procurement systems that improve efficiency and transparency.
• Support training and capability development for the procurement team.

What You'll Bring

• A bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, policies, and systems.
• Experience with process optimization and policy development.
• Strong logical thinking and risk awareness.
• Understanding of project cash flow management and payment processes.
• Strong coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three to five years of data centre procurement or construction-related procurement experience.
• Experience implementing procurement systems or supporting procurement digitalization initiatives.
