Job Responsibilities

1. Operations & Administrative Leadership

• Oversee and manage day-to-day business operations, administration, and organizational workflows in Malaysia.
• Translate executive management directions into actionable, operational tasks for local administrative staff.
• Coordinate operational and supply chain activities, including suppliers, contractors, logistics, and warehouse management.
• Conduct regular visits to warehouses, operational facilities, and project sites to ensure smooth execution.

2. Regulatory Affairs & Government Relations

• Lead end-to-end management of company licenses, permits, applications, and regulatory renewals.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local authorities, government bodies, regulatory agencies, and external consultants.
• Personally follow up on submissions, documentation, and compliance matters—including visiting government offices and attending official meetings as needed.
• Maintain complete and meticulous records to ensure 100% regulatory compliance.

3. Cross-Border & Multi-Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as a central communication bridge between the local office, executive management, and international teams across the United States and China.
• Facilitate seamless cross-lingual communication across technical teams, business partners, and external vendors.

Job Requirements

• Education: Master’s Degree or Bachelor's Degree, in Materials Science, Molecular Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive technical experience in advanced materials engineering, chemical/molecular development, or high-tech manufacturing with experience in engineering role overseeing technical teams.
  • Proven track record in operations management, preferably within Manufacturing, Industrial, Technology, Agriculture, Clean Energy, or Engineering sectors.
  • Technical Mastery: Strong foundation in molecular design, polymer science, nanomaterials, advanced functional coatings, or structural materials.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Proven track record of taking complex material technologies from concept to commercialization while managing departmental budgets and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Strong background in dealing with Malaysian government agencies, trade permits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Mobility: Possession of a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle; willing to travel locally to project sites, warehouses, and government offices.

• Language Proficiency:
  • Bahasa Malaysia (Highly Advantageous): Essential for effective engagement with local authorities and government departments.
  • English & Mandarin (Required): High fluency in spoken and written formats to liaise with international colleagues (US/China) and technical stakeholders.
