Senior Manager/General Manager - Leasing

A leading public-listed property conglomerate, owning and managing a substantial portfolio of diverse retail and commercial assets in the high-growth Klang Valley market.

Responsibilities

• Lead the leasing department, ensuring high-performance standards among the team.
• Lead strategies and execution to increase and maintain high occupancy rates across the company's assets portfolio.
• Full P&L responsibility for Leasing, including the preparation and management of the budget to achieve the desired rental income.
• Develop and execute detailed tenancy mix planning to align with asset strategies, enhance customer traffic, and improve tenant sales performance.
• Identify, propose, and commercially support Asset Enhancement Initiatives (AEI) through optimized leasing to boost assets performance.
• Lead the negotiation and closing of key tenants and major lease contracts, ensuring the most profitable commercial terms.
• Ensure all leasing activities, agreements, and tenant operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison with external and internal legal counsel for complex lease disputes, restructurings and enforcement actions.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in Property, Real Estate, or Asset Management, with a significant focus on mixed-use, retail and commercial portfolios.
• 5-7 years in a senior management role (HOD level), with a proven track record in leasing.
• Proven experience in leading and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams including Finance, Marketing and Operations.
