Ideal candidate has 6+ years in fashion design, familiarity with local Malay brands, fluent Bahasa Melayu and English, and strong skills in material sourcing and production coordination to drive seasonal collections.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of fashion design experience.
• Experience with traditional Malay clothing (Baju Melayu, Sampin, Kurta).
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu and English for daily communication.
• Strong understanding of design processes, material sourcing, and production coordination.
• Familiarity with local supply chains and industry networks.

Responsibilities

• Design development for traditional Malay menswear with cultural authenticity and contemporary relevance.
• Product and sample management from sourcing to prototyping and sampling.
• End-to-end design execution: conceptualization, material selection, sample production, and handoff to manufacturing; collaborate with pattern makers and production teams.
