Job summary

Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead a technician team in Krubong, Melaka.

You will ensure high uptime for EOL production equipment and drive preventive, predictive maintenance and continuous improvement programs. The role requires 3+ years in semiconductor equipment maintenance, strong troubleshooting across electrical/ mechanical systems, and experience with equipment like coupling, molding, vision inspection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Diploma in Engineering with electronics/mechanical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo and automation systems.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment such as coupling, molding, dejunk, trim & form, cure oven, vision inspection.
• Knowledge of TPM, PM, Predictive Maintenance, FMEA, RCA.
• Familiarity with OEE, MTBA/MTBF/MTTR, SPC, Lean and Six Sigma.
• Ability to read schematics and equipment documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to support shift activities.
• AutoCAD knowledge.
• Project management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to support company objectives.
• Ensure high equipment uptime and availability for EOL production equipment (e.g. Coupling, Molding, Dejunk, Trim & Form, cure Oven, Vision inspection and related automation).
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Develop, optimize and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), MTBF and MTTR.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve equipment and process related issues.
• Support new equipment installation, qualifications, commissioning and technology transfers.
• Manage spare parts, maintenance documentation, calibration and compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Lead equipment modification, cost reduction, automation and reliability improvement projects.
• Analyze equipment performance data and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians to build a high performing maintenance team.
