Job summary

Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead technicians and ensure high uptime for critical FOL production equipment. You will drive root-cause analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance, and support new equipment installations in Krubong, Melaka.

You will apply TPM, PM, RCA, and Lean Six Sigma to improve OEE, MTBF and MTTR while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A strong engineering background and hands-on automation knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering; electronics/electrical/mechanical/mechatronic.
• 3–8 years' experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo, and automation systems.
• Experience with Die Attach, Wire Bond, Cure Oven, Junction Coat or similar equipment.
• Knowledge of TPM, PM, Predictive Maintenance, FMEA, and RCA.
• Familiarity with OEE metrics and continuous improvement tools like Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to support company objectives.
• Ensure high equipment uptime, reliability and availability for FOL production equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns.
• Develop, optimize and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
• Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams.
• Support new equipment installation, qualifications, commissioning and tech transfers.
• Manage spare parts, maintenance documentation, calibration and compliance.
• Lead equipment modification, cost reduction, automation and reliability projects.
• Analyze equipment performance data and implement corrective actions.
