Job summary

AQIELAH, BASKARAN & CO. invites an experienced Advocate & Solicitor to join as Senior Legal Associate in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will handle civil and commercial litigation, manage files independently, and represent clients in court with strong drafting and advocacy skills.

You will also supervise junior lawyers, maintain client relationships, and provide strategic legal advice across matters. A proactive, responsible professional who works well independently is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of PQE.
• Called to the Malaysian Bar and holds a valid Practising Certificate.
• Substantial civil and commercial litigation experience.
• Able to independently manage files, conduct court proceedings and attend hearings.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy, legal research and communication skills.
• Capable of managing client relationships and supervising junior lawyers.
• Responsible, committed and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, affidavits, written submissions and other cause papers.
