Persistent Systems in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced IT support engineer to provide top-tier L1/L2 support for enterprise customers. You will troubleshoot Linux/Unix, perform RCA, document issues, and collaborate with global teams, with shift coverage and on-site office work.

The role requires 8+ years in support, fluency in English and Mandarin, strong networking basics, backup/recovery knowledge, and the ability to escalate when needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT support or related field.
• Strong command of English and Mandarin for customer interactions.
• Hands-on Linux/Unix troubleshooting and basic networking knowledge.
• Experience with incident management and RCA documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver L1/L2 support for enterprise customers via phone, email, and on-site when required.
• Troubleshoot Linux/Unix issues, perform RCA, and document resolutions.
• Coordinate with global teams to ensure customer success.
• Escalate complex cases and mentor junior engineers.
• Maintain clear and thorough case documentation in the CRM.
