AIA Hong Kong and Macau is hiring a Senior Manager for Non-Medical Claims in Kuala Lumpur. The role leads life claims operations, drives automation initiatives, and ensures compliant, customer-focused service delivery.

The candidate will oversee governance, risk controls, and stakeholder collaboration across Finance, Legal, and Technology. We seek a leader with 8–10 years of claims experience in the insurance sector, plus 3–5 years of people management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Law, Medical Sciences, or related disciplines.
• Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., DMII, AMII, ACII, ANZIIF or equivalent) are an added advantage.
• Minimum 8–10 years of claims experience within the insurance industry, with significant exposure to handling complex and high-value claims.
• Minimum 3–5 years of people management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing claims teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Life Claims Operations (30%). Oversee the assessment, governance, and timely, accurate, compliant decisions on life claims.
• Drive Strategic Projects and Automation (25%). Lead digital transformation including RPA, macro automation, and e-Submission platforms to reduce manual work and optimize resources.
• Enhance Process and Productivity (15%). Drive process improvements to boost productivity and reduce turnaround times.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration (10%). Partner with Finance, Legal, Technology, Distribution to drive initiatives and product launches.
• Team Leadership and Development (10%). Mentor and develop team members, foster engagement and build a high-performing culture.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance (10%). Ensure regulatory adherence, audit compliance, and risk controls.
