Job summary

Celestica in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Thermal Engineer to lead thermal design, simulation, and validation for electronic products, including networking, storage and server solutions, with preference for networking/servers focus.

You will design robust thermal solutions to meet specifications, collaborate with software teams on fan-speed control, perform thermal testing, and coordinate with heat-sink and air-mover vendors to balance cost, quality and functionality.

• Provide thermal simulation analysis from board to system chassis level to verify feasibility/risk.
• Document thermal test plans and perform thermal, air flow/impedance, acoustic measurements.
• Interface with a multi-disciplinary group to define system requirements and design products.
• Collaborate with heat sink and air mover vendors to manage cost, quality and functionality.
• Work with function teams to identify root causes of system failure.

• · Responsible for thermal design, simulation analysis and test validation for various electronic product , network/storage/server product thermal design experience is preferred,
• · Liquid cooling product development experience is preferred.
• · Design robust thermal solutions to meet product specifications, and cooperate with software team to implement fan speed control strategy.
• · Provide thermal simulation analysis from board to system chassis level to verify thermal feasibility/risk.
• · Document thermal test plan and perform thermal, air flow/impedance, acoustic measurements.
• · Interface with a multi-disciplinary group to define system requirements, and design products. Experience in working in medium sized multidisciplinary development teams.
• · Interface with heat sink and air mover vendors to keep up to manage cost, quality and functionality.
• · Work with function team to identify route cause of system failure.
