Job summary

Celestica seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive architecture, design and optimization of embedded software for HealthTech, Industrial, and other segments in a global, regulated environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor engineers and ensure robust, compliant solutions across product lifecycles.

Based in Penang, Malaysia, the role emphasizes SDLC excellence, security, and collaboration with customers and suppliers to deliver world-class products.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Software, or similar.
• Minimum 5–10 years of direct product design experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; ability to work with an international team.
• Experience with IEC 62304 and/or DO-178C is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and implementation of software solutions across market segments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to develop world-class products.
• Ensure SDLC best practices and rigorous testing to maintain software quality.
• Support technical proposals with labor and material estimates for customers.
• Mentor teams and champion MISRA C/C++ and secure software development practices.
