Job summary

Cochlear is seeking a Senior Lead Embedded Software Integration & Verification Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to drive quality, safety, and regulatory compliance for embedded software platforms. You will lead integration, verification, issue investigation, and release readiness while mentoring engineers and promoting best practices in testing, automation, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in computing/engineering/science or related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Minimum 8 years in embedded software integration and verification in regulated industries.
• Strong programming skills: Python, C, C++, C#, or similar.
• Experience debugging test scripts and developing test cases.
• Solid knowledge of embedded software development methodologies and tools.
• Experience with embedded testing: unit/integration/regression/SMOKE/system-level.
• Familiar with test-driven development and automated testing approaches.
• Experience with HIL/SIL testing environments.
• Strong CI/CD understanding with Git/Bitbucket/Perforce/TeamCity/Bamboo/Jira.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and quality focus.
• Experience in medical device development is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of active implantable medical devices and regulatory requirements advantageous.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Governance: Define ES I&V governance frameworks and track requirements to tests.
• Integration/Verification: Plan component integration and contribute to CI and verification.
• Planning/Stakeholder: Align ES I&V activities with roadmaps and plans.
• Process/Tooling: Define capabilities, improve processes, and drive automation.
• Technical Leadership: Develop training, mentor engineers, and serve as a technical contact.
• Team Role: Support quality improvements and cross-functional collaboration.
