Job summary

Jayapay, a global fintech payments platform, is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to design, develop, and optimize core microservices for high-volume payment processing. You will ensure availability, security, and scalability while delivering reliable releases.

You will collaborate with Product, Frontend, QA, and Risk teams, participate in architecture discussions, and mentor peers to uphold engineering excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong Java core concepts, JVM, concurrency, collections, IO.
• Solid Spring Boot & Spring Cloud experience.
• MySQL with caching (Redis) and high-concurrency systems.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize core modules for our financial-grade microservices platform.
• Participate in system architecture design, technical solution planning, and performance optimization.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of payment systems handling high transaction volumes.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, QA, and Risk teams to deliver reliable and secure releases.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide long-term technical improvements.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical sharing, and engineering best practices within the team.

Requirements

Must Have

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong foundation in Java core concepts (JVM, concurrency, collections, IO).
• Solid experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and experience with Redis or other caching systems.
• Hands-on experience in high-concurrency or distributed systems environments.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and backend performance tuning.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to independently solve complex technical problems.

Good to Have

• Experience in banking, fintech, payment, or financial systems.
• Familiarity with message queues such as RocketMQ or Kafka.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or data processing workflows (ETL).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or similar environments.
