Job summary

ArkTalents is hiring a Senior Java Engineer with DevOps experience in Malaysia (Remote). You will develop and scale Java backend microservices, optimize performance, and help build a Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) environment on Google Cloud Platform.

The role includes on-call production support and close collaboration with IT, QA, and business teams. We require 5+ years of Java development with Spring Boot, 2+ years in DevOps (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD), and strong knowledge of JVM internals,

Qualifications

Five+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience (Spring Boot/MVC or microservices).
At least two years of DevOps experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize Java backend microservices and APIs.
Improve service availability and performance via JVM tuning, memory profiling, and database query optimization.
Help build and improve the GKE environment with Kubernetes autoscaling strategies.
Collaborate on infrastructure-as-code and deployment solutions using Ansible, Helm, or Terraform.
Investigate production incidents using logs, tracing, and monitoring; lead root-cause analysis.
Participate in an on-call rotation for production support.
