Job summary

Software International Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to translate business requirements into scalable Java/Spring Boot solutions. You will lead design discussions and contribute to SDLC adherence in a hybrid Kuala Lumpur setting.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of back-end development, strong testing culture (TDD/BDD), and hands-on Kubernetes/Docker experience. Collaborative teamwork and delivery of quality software are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent/higher
• A strong background in designing/developing Java/Spring Boot based systems
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices development
• Proficiency in testing: TDD/BDD, unit testing and automation
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Knowledge of environment management, release management, versioning and deployment workflows
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into well-architected software solutions
• Lead and participate in technical discussions with the team
• Adhere to SDLC and contribute to platform standards and processes
• Develop data integration, migration, and deployment strategies
• Deliver applications in line with IT policies and procedures
