Job summary

Verinon Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a capable Developer to build secure, scalable APIs and microservices with Java and Spring Boot. You will work on Axway API Gateway management, RESTful services, and integration across payment ecosystems to support high-volume transactions and compliance.

The role requires 4–6 years of hands‑on experience, strong debugging skills, and a focus on API security, testing, and production support.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Axway API Gateway / API Management.
• Good experience in REST APIs and Microservices.
• Understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, throttling, and monitoring.
• Experience in Cards & Payments, Banking, or Financial Services is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of transaction processing and production support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using Java/Spring Boot.
• Design and manage APIs using Axway API Gateway / API Management.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database structures.
• Support payment processes including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Configure API security policies including authentication, authorization, throttling, and monitoring.
• Integrate backend services with Cards & Payments platforms.
• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for critical services.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production releases and post-deployment validation.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
