Job summary

Swift in Malaysia seeks a senior Java Developer to join our Kuala Lumpur team. You will contribute to cross‑functional Scrum efforts, craft scalable designs, and own end‑to‑end delivery of components with a focus on performance and security.

You will mentor juniors, participate in production support, and collaborate with colleagues across Europe to maintain high standards in a multinational, agile environment.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Java and OO patterns.
• Hands-on with Swing, testing (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber).
• Experience with Git, IDEs, Maven, Jenkins, Jira.
• Experience with XML/JSON parsing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Web app tech: React; secure web design per OWASP Top 10.
• Agile mindset with proactive, delivery-focused approach.
• Fluent English; 5+ years in software development; senior role.

Responsibilities

• Work in a dynamic cross-functional Scrum team with a Product Owner and leads.
• Ensure epics and user stories are clear and designs robust for long‑term quality.
• Contribute to build, deployment and CI/CD practices.
• Review code and support testing and test automation.
• Provide production support and incident analysis when required.
• Mentor juniors in Kuala Lumpur and align with Europe.
