Job summary

AirAsia Berhad is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead internal IT initiatives across the organization. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to business goals.

You will oversee planning, scheduling, risk management, and governance to support AirAsia's digital initiatives and drive successful adoption of outcomes across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management.
• Proven experience managing medium to large IT related projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (including senior leadership).
• Hands-on experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g. MS Project).
• Ability to manage changing priorities, scope adjustments, and project resets.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple internal IT projects and workstreams concurrently.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver milestones on time and within budget.
• Own project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Monitor resource capacity and utilization for delivery.
• Engage stakeholders to define project scope, success criteria, and expectations.
• Ensure proper governance across adherence to AirAsia Project Management framework: Scope and change management.
• Risk and issue management.
• Project documentation and reporting.
• Run regular project meetings, including steering committee updates.
• Provide clear and timely status reports to senior management.
• Support and guide junior project managers (if assigned).
• Drive change management and user adoption for project deliverables.
