Job summary

Ambu Financial Shared Services in Penang is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst I for IT Finance (FSS). You will support IT finance month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and provide financial insights to project leaders across global IT initiatives.

You'll work with ERP systems, Excel and Power BI, require strong analytical skills and at least five years in IT finance, with a professional accounting degree or ACCA/CIMA.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least a Professional Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• At least five years of working experience are required for this position.
• Individuals with an IT finance background and working experience in MNCs will have an added advantage.
• Possess strong financial analysis skills.
• Possess excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc., is preferred.
• Possess a good attitude, be self-motivated, proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Able to perform tasks assigned independently and act as a good team player in collaboration with other stakeholders.
• Travelling might be required.

Responsibilities

• Support Information Technology (IT) finance month-end closing in compliance with accounting standards and group policies, including but not limited to: walk through IT cost centers and projects to ensure GL booking accuracy; prepare and post accruals for IT costs.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting as well as performing variance analysis for IT capacity costs, headcount, and time registration.
• Reporting on IT tangibles and intangibles project expenditures.
• Follow up on actual expenditure for IT tangible projects to ensure they are within budget.
• Maintain IT project master data and align within all financial systems.
• Collaborate with project managers/stakeholders to provide financial insights and support project planning.
• Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives within the global IT function.
• Responsible for investigating technical issues and following up until resolution.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks and support financial audits in Ambu Group.
