Job summary

SH COGENT LOGISTICS SDN BHD is seeking an experienced IT professional to manage change requests, maintain IT infrastructure and provide first-line support. The role requires strong troubleshooting, English and Mandarin communication, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

You will collaborate across internal and external teams to ensure security, data integrity, and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent in English and Mandarin for client liaison.

Responsibilities

• Manage change requests from scope definition through implementation with cross-functional teams.

Job description

1. Responsible to manage new change request on external maintained system from change request scope definition through implementation across internal, external and cross functional teams.

2. Maintain, keep track and ensure IT infrastructure are in good order (laptop, monitors, IT equipment).

3. Assisting with the installation, configuration and testing of new hardware and software.

4. Ensure company system and network are protected against any threat.

5. Responsible to provide first line support to users on all application related requests/enquiries.

6. Understand and familiar with database structure and data contents of various applications.

7. Able to access database and perform necessary actions (query, extraction, investigation) to support the operations.

8. Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

9. Follow-up and communicate effectively with relevant parties to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.

10. Responsible for performance, availability and scalability of the various applications.

11. Provide IT solutions to meet the business need that is aligned to the Company’s strategic business objective.

12. Ensures assign tasks and assignment are completed satisfactorily on time, and in compliance with proposal and established standards.

13. Any other tasks assigned to you from time to time.

Requirements and skills

Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Familiarity with hardware and software maintenance, including installation, configuration and upgrades.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Highly committed and motivated to perform.

Demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients.
