Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead projects from concept to completion in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage design teams, liaise with clients and consultants, and ensure high-quality execution aligned with project requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field and 3-5 years of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite. On-site work in Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in interior design.
• Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage interior design projects from conceptual design to final completion.
• Develop design concepts, space planning, mood boards, and material selections.
• Prepare and review detailed drawings and presentation materials.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Oversee site progress, conduct site visits, and ensure design intent is properly executed.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and finishes.
• Mentor and guide junior designers and design team members.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
