Job summary

Daicel HPP Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance professional for our manufacturing plant. You will perform daily breakdown maintenance and preventive maintenance on electrical and instrument items, troubleshoot issues, and support annual shutdown activities.

You will follow LOTO safety rules and use diagnostic tools, contributing to reliable data and plant safety. Applicants should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field and good English/Bahasa

Qualifications

• Minimum certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Daily breakdown maintenance on electrical and instrument items.
• Electrical and instrument preventive maintenance works.
• Troubleshoot Electrical & Instrument problems and suggest counter measures.
• Electrical and instrument annual shutdown maintenance.
• Perform ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 calibration works.
• Follow WO/PTW/Spares procedures and systems.
• Other duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Job description

Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or any related Electrical or Instrumentation field.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in instrumentation and electrical systems will be an added advantage.

WORKING EXPERIENCE

Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation work, preferably in a manufacturing plant environment.

CERTIFICATION / COMPETENCIES / SKILLS

Able to speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Good troubleshooting skills and instrument knowledge.

Must be organized, dynamic, result oriented, and able to work under pressure.

GENERAL DUTIES

Work in rotating shift or normal hours as per duty roster.

Responsible for Electrical Isolation/ De-isolation work.

Test and adjust instruments against known reference standards to guarantee accurate data collection and system reliability.

Adhere to strict plant safety guidelines, including proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Use specialized diagnostic tools (like multimeters, loop calibrators, and oscilloscopes) to pinpoint electrical, mechanical, or signal failures.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Daily breakdown maintenance on electrical and instruments items

Responsible for electrical and instrument preventive maintenance works

Troubleshoot Electrical & Instrument problems and suggest counter measures.

Responsible for electrical and instrument annual shutdown maintenance.

Performing ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 calibration works and activities.

Able to understand and follow the WO/PTW/Spares procedures and systems.

And other responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time.
