Job summary

Aurecon is seeking an Inspector of Works (Civil & Structural) to monitor site activities and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and safety standards for complex infrastructure and building projects. The role requires strong communication, detailed inspections, and documentation of progress in a dynamic site environment.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma with BEM registration as Inspector of Works and have at least five years of civil and structural supervision experience, especially

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of civil and structural supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of data centre construction, precast structures, and local practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel; AutoCAD and BIM knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with drawings and specs.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
• Review drawings, specs and method statements; report discrepancies.
• Attend inspections and testing; document results.
• Participate in site meetings and issue memos for non-compliant works.
• Support monthly progress verifications and variation orders.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities and progress reports.
• Perform additional duties as needed by the site team.
