Job summary

Aurecon is seeking an Inspector of Works (Electrical) to ensure on-site electrical works meet approved drawings, specifications and safety standards. You will support the Resident Engineer and project team in delivering high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in electrical supervision, and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM. Proficiency in AutoCAD/BIM and driving license are preferred for site mobility.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering and registration as an Inspector of Works with BEM.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical supervision, especially in industrial or institutional developments.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, data centre infrastructure, and local construction practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and BIM knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily electrical construction activities and ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks on electrical installations.
• Review electrical drawings and method statements; report discrepancies.
• Attend inspections and testing activities and document results.
• Issue site memos for non-compliant works.
• Support monthly progress claim verification and variation orders.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, site activities, and progress.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
