Job summary

Flex is looking for an NPI Technical Program Management Engineer in Prai, Penang to bridge innovation engineering with high-volume production, turning concepts into manufacturable solutions.

You will evaluate designs with data-driven insights, collaborate across functions to create scalable processes, lead prototype-to-production transfers, apply SPC and PFMEA, and drive continuous improvement for quality and yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with PCBA, SMT, wave soldering and assembly processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders to transfer projects from R&D to production.

Responsibilities

• Bridge innovation engineering and high-volume production to turn concepts into manufacturable solutions.
• Evaluate product designs and provide data-driven recommendations to boost efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cost-effective, scalable manufacturing processes.
• Lead prototype and low-volume build transfers to mass production.
• Define and sustain robust process parameters for high-quality manufacturing.
• Conduct root cause analyses and drive continuous improvement across lines.
• Apply SPC and analytical tools to monitor performance and yield.
• Champion safety, productivity, and throughput improvements.
