Qualifications
- Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field.
Responsibilities
- Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
- Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer using REFA, MOST, WITNESS or adequate tools.
- Coordinates process planning and setup with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirements during NPI.
- Reviews results during prototyping and trial runs and provides feedback to NPI and sales team.
- Works measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop labor standards.
- Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout, and production data to improve efficiency.
- Recommends methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce material and utility waste.
- Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
- Develops management systems for cost analysis, wage administration, and job evaluation.
- Designs or improves systems for distribution of goods and determines plant locations.
- Leads and supports LEAN, Automation and/or Six Sigma initiatives to increase throughput and reduce cost.
