Omya Group in Malaysia seeks a skilled Indirect Tax professional to manage daily tax operations, including returns, reconciliations, and audits. You will monitor KPIs, drive standardization with Group Tax, and support system changes and regulatory reporting.

Collaboration with Controlling, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and local authorities is essential. The role requires 3–5 years in a related operational tax role, strong SAP/OneStream experience, and knowledge of BEPS/Pillar 2 developments.

Qualifications

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law, or related fields.
Advanced certifications in Tax (e.g., CTA, CTP, ATP, CPA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent) are advantageous.
3–5 years of experience in a process- or function-related operational role.
Experience working with SAP and tax/reporting systems (e.g., OneStream).
Knowledge of tax compliance, local tax laws and international tax regulations, tax audits, and regulatory reporting.
Knowledge of indirect taxes in multiple legislations, transfer pricing, and tax risk management processes.

Responsabilités

Execute daily Indirect Tax operational tasks (preparation and filing of returns, reconciliations).
Monitor KPIs/SLAs, escalate structural issues and coordinate with stakeholders.
Support standardization and continuous improvement of Indirect Tax processes with Group Tax.
Collaborate with B2C process management and Group Tax to improve underlying processes.
Assist in rollout of new/change designs, system upgrades, and change management.
Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, audit requirements, and local/international tax regulations.
