Sime Darby Berhad, a leading global trading and logistics company headquartered in Oasis Ara Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a senior tax professional to manage compliance for corporate, indirect, and international taxes. You will lead audits, prepare advisory support for transactions, and drive tax data analytics across multiple entities.

The role requires 8+ years in tax with strong knowledge of Malaysian tax rules, transfer pricing, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy or related fields.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a large corporate environment and/or professional services firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of Malaysian taxation, including corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and international tax matters.
• Experience in managing tax audits, disputes, and stakeholder engagements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance for operating units, including corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and foreign tax.
• Review tax returns, tax computations, transfer pricing documentation, and related schedules for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare tax advisory support on business transactions and identify opportunities to optimize tax outcomes.
• Assess and manage tax risks and recommend practical solutions to support business objectives.
• Lead tax audits, investigations, appeals and engagements with tax authorities and external advisors.
• Provide technical guidance to tax and finance teams and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of tax-related matters and reporting requirements.
• Maintain tax data and support tax analytics initiatives.
