Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Sr Indirect Category Supplier Manager II - Materials Category to lead strategic procurement initiatives, drive value through category strategies, and collaborate with Global and Regional teams. The role emphasizes AI-enhanced category management, supplier performance, and cost optimization across multiple large-scale projects.

Qualifications

Over 10 years of experience in the Facilities & Construction Category (as applicable).
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
Experience managing multiple large-scale projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
Effective communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Advanced skills in materials cost structure and analysis.
AI proficiency and AI-enabled ways of working.

Responsibilities

Implement processes to monitor supplier performance and customer happiness.
Develop category strategies and validate with Global/Regional Category Managers.
Lead negotiations for contracts and renewals, including price negotiations.
Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives and cost management using market analysis.
Collaborate with customers to deliver strategic procurement solutions.
Maintain relationships to improve cost-effectiveness and supply chain resilience.
