Micron Technology is seeking a Senior Indirect Category Supplier Manager II for Materials to drive global procurement strategies. You will lead category management, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization across the Materials category, leveraging AI-enabled analytics to enhance decision making.

The role requires extensive experience in indirect procurement, strong collaboration with internal partners, and a track record of delivering savings and supplier performance improvements.

Formación

• Over 10 years of experience in Facilities & Construction category.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Proven experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing multiple large-scale projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication, negotiation and analytical skills are essential.
• Advanced skills in materials cost structure and analysis.
• AI proficiency and AI-enabled ways of working.

Responsabilidades

• Develop category strategies for managed categories and validate with Global/Regional Category Managers.
• Monitor supplier happiness and drive value targets (revenue, spend reduction, efficiency).
• Lead or participate in negotiations for contracts, extensions, and renewals.
• Drive supplier segmentation and strategic sourcing activities.
• Collaborate with customers to deliver strategic procurement solutions.
• Apply should-cost models and provide market intelligence on price trends.

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing

• Implement processes to monitor customer happiness with key suppliers.
• Recommend targets to increase value such as high revenue, spend reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services, and supplier management.
• Analyze sourcing trends and provide suggestions for assigned categories.
• Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal-setting.
• Develop category strategies for managed categories and validate strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers and internal partners.
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence to improve category management.

Cost Management & Analysis

• Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers.
• Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets.
• Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal customers.
• Apply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace.

Negotiation

• Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.
• Lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation.
• Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations.
• Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and build, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracted terms and conditions.
• Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and cost management using supplier and industry analysis.

Business Partnering

• Collaborate with customers to deliver strategic solutions.
• Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key collaborators.
• Drive a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement.
• Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships to improve cost-effectiveness, supply chain efficiency, and resilience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience in the Facilities & Construction Category.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing multiple large-scale projects concurrently, ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong project management skills.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Advanced skills in materials cost structure and analysis.
• AI proficiency and AI-enabled ways of working.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in indirect category management at a semiconductor company.
• Experience working with Ariba, SAP, and SCOUT.
