Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Sr Indirect Category Supplier Manager II in Materials Category to lead category management, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization across global supplier networks.

You will drive supplier negotiations, develop category strategies, apply AI-enabled insights, and collaborate with Global and Regional teams to deliver value, efficiency, and resilience in the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in the Facilities & Construction Category.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing multiple large-scale projects concurrently, ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong project management skills.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Advanced skills in materials cost structure and analysis.
• AI proficiency and AI-enabled ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies for managed categories and validate strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers and internal partners.
• Implement processes to monitor customer happiness with key suppliers.
• Analyze sourcing trends and provide suggestions for assigned categories.
• Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.
• Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and cost management using supplier and industry analysis.
• Collaborate with customers to deliver strategic solutions and develop collaborative partnerships to improve cost-effectiveness, supply chain efficiency, and resilience.
